Oliver Raw is a British/Swedish travel writer and photographer specialising in Asia.

He has lived in the region for some twenty years, with stints in Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai and Bangkok.

In the course of his travels, he has spent several months in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery, trekked across South Korea, slept in some unsanitary digs, and once got stuck behind enemy lines.

He is particularly drawn to issues relating to heritage and conservation, and he'll make any excuse to undertake a train journey.​

As a professional travel photographer, his images complement his writing, offering readers both visual and written insights into the places he visits.

He also works as a printmaker.
